The cut-out sheet elegantly solves the ancient cartographer problem of mapping a three-dimensional sphere onto a flat surface. The Star Dome depicts all the stars and constellations visible in the southern sky of the northern hemisphere down to latitudes of 40°N. Includes date and time markers to simplify locating stars and constellations.
